The Daily Take is a daily-ish newsletter covering whatever’s genuinely trending — tech and software security still get plenty of airtime, but so does anything else worth a closer look, from consumer money-saving tools to the odd trainwreck story everyone’s talking about. Written by someone who’s spent 40+ years on the infrastructure side (systems administration, MCSE/RedHat, automation pipelines) rather than the marketing side.

The angle: real news, not recycled “best products” listicles. If a story’s interesting enough to write about, it’s interesting enough to fact-check against primary sources first — then tied to a product or service that’s genuinely relevant to it, so any recommendation fits the story instead of being shoehorned in.
